FAQs

What is surface scanning?

It’s capturing an object’s exact shape digitally using laser or light.

Which scanning methods do you use?

In house we use structured light technology for surface scanning. This will give high detail and full colour if needed. We are also able to utilise laser based systems, and infinite focus microscopy if the project requires it through our partners.

Can you 3D print scanned objects?

Yes, I offer 3D printing in hobby plastics, engineering-grade materials, full color, and biocompatible polymers.

Our Structured Light scanners accuracy is 0.02 mm + 0.04mm x L(m). This means it's inital accuracy in it's measurements is 0.02mm but that can increase by 0.04mm for every 1 meter scanned along the surface of the object.

How accurate are your scans?
What industries do you serve?

I work with designers, engineers, heritage, conservations, arts, animators, and game developers.
